The cold has settled in and leaves have fallen providing a great opportunity to add some brown material to compost piles. There might not be much sowing and planting going on but pruning season has arrived. Fruit trees and shrubs are dormant for winter making pruning possible. However if the whether has turned frosty pruning isn't recommended.
